Mrs. Doubtfire, the musical comedy based on the film, opens the 2026-2027 Broadway in Indianapolis season at Clowes Memorial Hall.
Mrs. Doubtfire opens the new Broadway in Indianapolis season at Clowes Memorial Hall, running from Tuesday, November 17 through Sunday, November 22. It's the National Touring Company bringing the show to the city, and it's the first of four touring productions slated for the 2026-2027 season, which will be split between Clowes and the Old National Centre.
If you know the movie, you've got the gist: an out-of-work actor goes through a difficult divorce and creates an alter ego just to spend time with his children. The musical follows that same thread, and it's earned some warm reviews along the way. The Manchester Evening News called it "wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny," The Hollywood Reporter described it as "a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers," and the Chicago Tribune called it "the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now."

It's a fairly long evening—two hours and 30 minutes with one intermission—and it's recommended for theatergoers aged 8 and over, so it works as a family outing. The show runs Tuesday through Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. You'll find it at Clowes Memorial Hall, 4602 Sunset Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
