Free evening of live performances, art activations and a silent auction by the Asante Art Institute to support arts education and youth programming.
The Asante Art Institute is hosting its Signature Showcase at the Madam Walker Legacy Center on Friday, October 30, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's a free arts event, so you can walk in without spending a dime.
The evening is built around live performances, art activations and a silent auction. The performances are the main draw, and the art activations run alongside them throughout the night. The silent auction is the part that ties it back to the community: all the proceeds go toward arts education and youth programming. If you're into the arts and want to put something toward local youth programs, that's where you'll do it.
The venue is the Madam Walker Legacy Center at 617 Indiana Avenue, a landmark of culture, heritage and entertainment in Indianapolis. It's a space that carries its own weight in the city's history, and it's where the whole thing comes together for the night.
