Blues rock concert by the Sparky Parker Band at the Big Easy Social and Pleasure Club.
Sparky Parker Band plays the Big Easy Social and Pleasure Club on Friday, October 9, starting at 9 PM. It's a blues rock show with Sparky Parker leading the band.
Parker is a Houston guitarist who's fronted the band for more than 12 years, and he's built a reputation as one of the region's most dynamic musicians. His sound draws on Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers and Robin Trower, as well as the traditions of Texas and Chicago blues. He's toured widely across the United States and Europe, sharing stages with artists like Vanessa Collier, Diunna Greenleaf and Trudy Lynn.
Two of his albums, Live in Houston and In The Dark, showcase his guitar work and emotive vocals. His single "Driving Rain," released on January 31, 2025, adds an Americana twist to the sound. The set will be a night of blues rock from the band, with Parker's guitar at the center.
