Snit's Dog and Pony Show

Snit's Dog and Pony Show are playing the Shady Acres Saloon on Thursday, November 5, with the full band out for the night. It's an American roots rock and roll outfit based right here in Houston, led by Snit Fitzpatrick.

Their sound comes from the vinyl of the 1980s and the rocking B-sides of their childhood, and they build their sets around that—pairing faithful covers with their own original songs. They've put out two albums so far: Three Chords and a Cloud of Dust, followed by No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

This isn't a stripped-down version of the group. The full band includes Snit Fitzpatrick on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Sam Dunlap, Sparky Parker, and Doug Black on guitars, Shawn Carr on bass, and Michael Lawson on drums. With three guitars on stage, the twang is the main thing they're leaning into.

It's a free show at Shady Acres Saloon, 1115 W 19th St in The Heights, starting at 8 PM.
