A Halloween-themed dance party with immersive audio-visual effects, costume contest and celebrity judges at POST Houston.
POST Houston is hosting the POST Apocalypse Party 2026 on Saturday, October 31, starting at 10 PM. It's an 18-and-over Halloween dance party built around a dystopian theme, with mind-bending visuals, haze, lasers, and an immersive audio-visual experience that turns the room into a playground. Apocalyptic characters will be moving through the crowd, and the whole thing is set against an 'Apocalyptic Afterlands' backdrop.
Two DJs handle the music: DJ IMAX takes the first half from 10 PM to midnight, and DJ EBONIX keeps it going from midnight to 2 AM. Matt Horn of FOX 26 Houston and Chef Kate McLean co-emcee the night, and the costume contest is judged by a local crew: Deevon Rahming of KHOU 11, Lance Zierlein of ESPN Radio Houston, Tessa Barrera of Houston Public Media, and Lluvia Vidaña of Telemundo Houston.
That costume contest is a big part of the evening, and it's open to the scariest, weirdest, or most creative looks you can put together. First place takes home a $2,000 cash prize, with 713 Music Hall tickets, Art Club ticket packages, and giveaways from local sponsors for the other winners. If you've been working on a costume all month, this is the night to actually wear it.
