Outdoor screening of the classic Christmas comedy 'Christmas Vacation' at Skylawn, a rooftop park in downtown Houston, with food and drinks available from POST Market.
Skylawn is screening Christmas Vacation on Friday, December 11, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's part of POST's Movie Nights on the Lawn series, which brings cinema to the rooftop park in downtown Houston. The park sits at 401 Franklin Street, and the city skyline serves as the backdrop while you watch.
Christmas Vacation is the feature for the night, and it's exactly the kind of seasonal title the series is known for. The whole setup is built for groups: you're encouraged to show up with family and friends and pick up food and drinks from POST Market to snack on during the movie. It's a casual, open-air way to spend a Friday night in the city, with the downtown lights around you and a holiday classic on the screen.
Movie Nights on the Lawn programs a mix of seasonal titles and all-time classics throughout the series, and Christmas Vacation fits right into that. Since it's an outdoor screening, it's a good idea to bring along whatever you need to stay comfortable for the two-hour window. The movie runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, so you'll be out of the park and back on the street by mid-evening.
