Texas rock'n'roll from Austin band Loteria, with community, prizes and toy donations.
Loteria is bringing their Texas rock'n'roll to Segundo Coffee Lab on Thursday, October 15, for a night that blends a live set with a game of loteria. The band hails from Austin, made up of musicians from across the state who have spent years playing late-night shows around town. This is one of their Houston dates, and the evening is billed as a night of community, cafecito, prizes, and music.
Segundo Coffee Lab is a Latin-owned experimental coffee lab at 711 Milby Street #35, and it's the one hosting the whole thing. They do classic pour-overs and cold brews alongside house creations like the La Mexicana Latte—cinnamon, vanilla bean, and raw honey—and you can infuse your drinks with CBD. Empanadas are on the menu, and breakfast tacos are there too, though the tacos only come out on weekends. The lab is known for holding events like Sip & Paint and loteria nights, and they have another location on Lawndale Street.
Beyond the music, the night is built around the game itself, with prizes for the winners. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy donation, so if you're planning to come, it's worth grabbing something to drop off. The music comes from Loteria, an Austin band that's been playing the city's late-night circuit for years, bringing their brand of Texas rock'n'roll to Houston for the evening.
