A vintage-inspired tufting workshop where participants create an 18x18 inch Halloween mirror with classic spooky imagery.
Habibi Bazaar is hosting a Halloween Mirror Tufting workshop on Wednesday, October 14, at their Spring Street Studios space in Houston. It's a four-hour session that starts at 6 PM, and you walk out that same night with an 18x18 inch mirror you made yourself.
Here's how it works: you pick a pre-drawn mirror template and choose your own yarn colors, then learn to tuft from start to finish. The designs lean on classic Halloween imagery—black cats, devils, monsters, and clowns—so you can lean into the spooky side of things. The whole room is set up for it, too, with old-school Halloween movies playing in the background and seasonal candy on hand while you work. It's beginner-friendly, so you don't need to have ever touched a tufting gun before to get through it.
Past attendees have described it as a unique date-night experience, and they've praised the instructors, Pamela and her partner, for being welcoming, patient, and helpful throughout the process. It's open to over-16s only, though 15-year-olds can join without a guardian and 11-year-olds can come with one. BYOB is welcome, and refreshments are included.
