A celebration of Día de los Muertos and lucha libre at POST Houston, featuring catrinas and wrestling masks, with 21+ drinking available.
Manchild and POST Houston are bringing a Día de los Muertos lucha libre showcase to the X Atrium on Sunday, November 1, starting at 5 PM. It's a crossover of two traditions that fit together pretty naturally: the Day of the Dead and the masked world of lucha libre. The organizers describe it as a setting where catrinas meet máscaras, so you'll see the sugar-skull imagery of the holiday alongside the luchadores in the ring.
One of the best parts is that you're encouraged to join in rather than just watch. They're asking people to show up in face paint, máscaras, or wrestling tights, so if you've got a costume or some paint you've been waiting for an excuse to use, this is it. It turns the whole thing into more of a party than a standard show.

On the food and drink side, El Tiempo Cantina will be on-site serving bites and margaritas throughout the event. It's an 18+ occasion, with 21+ to drink, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a group. The whole thing kicks off at 5 PM in the X Atrium at POST Houston.
