A celebration of African culture, movement and artistry featuring world-class acrobats and young artists from Guinea, with live Afro-Jazz and percussion.
Cirque Kalabanté brings Afrique en Cirque to Miller Outdoor Theatre on Saturday, November 14, at 7:30 PM. The show is presented by The Westin Houston Medical Center and serves as the season finale for Miller.
Afrique en Cirque takes its inspiration from everyday life in Guinea, West Africa, and frames it as a celebration of African culture, movement, and artistry. The performance runs to live Afro-Jazz, percussion, and the kora—the West African harp—with world-class acrobats building human pyramids and pulling off gravity-defying feats. They're joined on stage by young artists from Guinea, who bring their own authenticity and passion to the mix.

Because it's the season finale, this is the last performance of the year at Miller. The show runs for an hour and a half, so you'll be out by 9 PM. It's free, though the covered seating area is ticketed—up to four per person over 16. If you're planning to sit under the roof, you'll want to grab those tickets early.
