Arch Enemy performs live at the House of Blues in Houston, with The Black Dahlia Murder and support from Septicflesh, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile.
Arch Enemy are playing the House of Blues in Houston on Monday, October 12, as part of a North American tour they're running with The Black Dahlia Murder. The bill is deep, with Septicflesh, Crypta, and Thrown Into Exile filling out the support.
If you've followed them for a while, you know the band has a history of changing frontwomen. Swedish guitarist Michael Amott started the group in 1996, and they've put out eleven studio albums since then—from the early cult classic Black Earth through Wages of Sin and into the arena-sized records of the 2000s. Angela Gossow took over vocals in 2001 and broke some ground for women in extreme metal, and Alissa White-Gluz followed, fronting the band through War Eternal, Will To Power, Deceivers, and 2025's Blood Dynasty.
This show is part of a new chapter. In 2026, the band introduced former Once Human vocalist Lauren Hart as their new frontwoman, debuting her with the single "To The Last Breath," which they've called a statement of rebirth. Hart has a personal connection to the band: she first heard them when Wages of Sin came out and remembers being surprised to find the screamer was a woman. She recorded her first vocal tracks from the States, and the band had only met on Zoom before they finally got together in person. Her first live performance was on March 27, 2026, in Beijing, a night she described as a dream come true.
