A free afternoon of Nova Scotia wine tasting and pairing with local food at Foundation Wharf, with live radio coverage from 89.9 The Wave.
Wines on the Waterfront returns to Foundation Wharf on Saturday, August 15, for a free afternoon of Nova Scotia wine tasting. It's a showcase of the province's wineries right on the Halifax waterfront, with sampling and bottles available to buy on the day. The whole thing runs from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, so you can drop in whenever suits you rather than committing to the full five hours.
Six provincial wineries are on the lineup: Devonian Coast Wineries, Lightfoot & Wolfville, Sainte Famille, Planter's Ridge, Marble Mountain Estates, and Domaine de Grand Pré. That's a fair spread of the Annapolis Valley in one spot, so you can work your way through a few different styles without having to drive out to the vineyards. The tasting is paired with local food, and you'll be able to buy bottles from the wineries there if you find something you want to take home.

89.9 The Wave will be broadcasting live from the site all day, so there's music running in the background while you're tasting. It's a free event, but it's restricted to guests aged 19 and over, and they may ask for ID if you look under 30.
