Stand-up comedy show featuring Halifax comedian Travis Lindsay at The Basement.
Travis Lindsay is playing The Basement on October 9 and 10, two nights of stand-up in the heart of downtown. Both shows run from 8:00 to 9:30 pm, so you've got a choice of dates if one doesn't fit your schedule.
Lindsay is a Halifax comedian, writer and performer, and if his name doesn't ring a bell, you've likely heard his work. He's a member of the writing team for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he's also appeared as a featured player. That team took home a Canadian Screen Award for Best Writing in a Variety or Sketch Comedy Program or Series, so he's spent a fair bit of time working on the kind of comedy that reaches a national audience.
But he's as much a stand-up as he is a writer. After years on the circuit, he put out two comedy albums: The Kid Is Alright in 2019 and Killed at the Funeral in 2021. More recently, he made it to the finale of Canada's Got Talent in 2024, which put him in front of a whole new crowd. He's regarded as one of Canada's funniest voices, and these two nights at The Basement are a chance to catch him live in his own city.
