Hot Flash Comedy with Syd Bosel

Syd Bosel brings Hot Flash Comedy to Yuk Yuk's comedy club on Thursday, July 30, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's a stand-up night in the heart of downtown, at 1665 Argyle Street, so it's an easy one to get to if you're already in the city.

Bosel is a Canadian stand-up who built his following on stages in Vancouver and across British Columbia, and he now tours the country and plays private parties. He's also a bit of a fixture in the comedy community back west: he teams up with fellow comic and friend Patti Savard for Judge My Jokes, a show that celebrates the industry standard of the 'Tight 5' — the five jokes a comedian should always have ready to perform — and offers critique and suggestions to new comics. On top of that, he runs the Wingnut Comedy! open mic night at the High Tide Pub in Courtenay, so he's as used to hosting and supporting other comics as he is to taking the stage himself.
