Colin Cowan is playing YukYuks in Halifax on July 31 and August 1, two nights of stand-up comedy at the venue's basement space. Both shows run from 8:00 to 9:30 pm.
Cowan is one of Canada's most original comedic voices, and his sets are known for being high-energy and wildly unpredictable. He blends razor-sharp observation and impressions with crowd work and absurd twists, so the night can shift quickly from a tight bit to something that depends on who's in the room. If you've seen him before, you know he doesn't stick to one gear for long.
He's a veteran of the circuit with a long list of credits: Just For Laughs, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Second City, CBC, and NBC. More recently, he put out a stand-up special, Live to Tape, in 2024, so these dates come on the heels of that. He's a Canadian comic who's worked both here and abroad, and he brings that experience to the stage.
