Weekly stand-up comedy night at Good Robot Brewing featuring local and visiting Halifax comics, with a weekly raffle for early arrivals.
Better Times Comedy runs every Thursday night at Good Robot Brewing, 2736 Robie Street in Halifax. It's a year-round stand-up night that's picked up some local recognition along the way, taking home Best Comedy Night at The Coast's Best of Halifax Awards.
The room draws on a regular cast of Halifax comics and visiting acts, so the line-up changes from week to week. It's also a spot where you'll see local figures drop in: Clare Belford, a writer on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Dan Hendricken, known from CBC LOL and the Halifax Comedy Festival, have both appeared, alongside Travis Lindsay and Adam Myatt. Between the regulars and the guests, it's usually a mix of familiar faces and new ones.
There's a bit more to the night than just the comedy. Every week they run a raffle for people who arrive before the show, with prizes from Good Robot, Strange Adventures and Taz Records. There's also a rotating tap deal and 15% off food, drinks and retail, so it's easy to make a full evening of it.

The show starts at 8 PM, but if you want in on that raffle, you'll need to be there before 7:30 PM. Better Times Comedy is at Good Robot Brewing, 2736 Robie Street, every Thursday night.
