Award-winning stand-up comedy night featuring local and visiting comics at Good Robot Brewing Co.
Better Times Comedy is back at Good Robot Brewing Co. on Thursday, October 8, as part of its year-round run on Robie Street. It's an award-winning stand-up show that's built a following as one of the best rooms for comedy in Halifax, and it took home Best Comedy Night at The Coast's Best of Halifax Awards.
The night is anchored by a regular of Halifax stalwarts: writer Clare Belford, who you might know from This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Dan Hendricken, a regular on CBC LOL and the Halifax Comedy Festival. They're joined by Travis Lindsay and Adam Myatt, with a rotating cast of local and visiting comics filling out the rest of the bill. Because the lineup changes, the vibe shifts from week to week, and you'll likely see different faces every time you go back.
There's a bit of a game to the early arrival, too. If you get there before 7:30 pm, you're entered into a raffle sponsored by Good Robot, Strange Adventures, and Taz Records. The show itself kicks off at 8 pm, so coming early gives you time to grab a drink and get your name in the draw before the first comic takes the stage.

On the beer front, the night comes with a rotating C$5 tap that changes every week, and 15% off food, drinks and retail. Tickets are C$15 per person. Better Times runs every Thursday evening year-round at Good Robot Brewing Co., 2736 Robie Street, Halifax, NS B3K 4P2.
