An afternoon rock show featuring iconic movie themes from the 80s, 90s and 00s with a festive Christmas twist.
Wrap Party are playing an afternoon show at The Classic Grand on Saturday 12 December, from 3pm to 6.30pm. It's a matinee, so you're in and out well before the evening rush, which makes it an easy one to fit in around the Christmas madness.
The whole thing is built around movie soundtracks from the '80s, '90s and '00s, and they don't just play them as they are. They give them a full rock makeover: instantly recognisable themes and songs from some of the biggest films of the last few decades, reworked with loud guitars, pounding drums and plenty of energy. It's a nostalgia trip through the movies, only heavier.
Because it's December, they're adding a bit of festive sparkle to the mix, so it's as much a Christmas outing as it is a gig. If you're into those decades of cinema and don't mind them played loud, it's a good shout for a Saturday afternoon.
