Michigan-based experimental music group Wolf Eyes headline the night at Nice N Sleazy.
Wolf Eyes play Nice N Sleazy on Tuesday 13 October, bringing their Michigan-born experimental sound to Glasgow. It's a headline show, with the group as the sole bill on the night.
They've been around a long time, starting in 1998 as the solo project of former Nautical Almanac member Nate Young. Aaron Dilloway joined in 1999, and John Olson followed in 2000. For a while they relocated to New York City, and at one point Andrew Wilkes-Krier — now known as Andrew W.K. — was part of the line-up. Their first two major tours were with Sonic Youth and Andrew W.K., and they're rumoured to have released over 150 recordings since those early days.
Much of that output has come out on labels like Bulb Records, Troubleman Unlimited, Fusetron, Sub Pop, Olson's American Tapes, Dilloway's Hanson Records and Mike Connelly's Gods of Tundra. They've mostly stuck to the DIY tradition of bands like Smegma, putting things out on lathes, cassettes and cd-rs. Dread on Bulb Records was their first major release, followed by Dead Hills on Troubleman and Burned Mind on Sub Pop. These days they're a duo of Olson and Young, who have collaborated for more than two decades. Their latest record, Self Embalmed, arrived in autumn 2026 as a picture disc LP.
