A screening of the documentary What Will I Become? by Lexie Bean and Logan Rozos, with a post-screening discussion with co-director Lexie Bean, presented by the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
The Social Hub Glasgow is screening the documentary What Will I Become? on Sunday 25 October, from 5.15pm to 7.20pm. The film is by Lexie Bean and Logan Rozos, and the screening is followed by a discussion with co-director Lexie Bean, so there's a bit of a conversation to go on after the credits roll.
Bean and Rozos are the filmmakers behind it, and they're also the ones on screen. They travel across the United States to understand their own trans boyhood through the legacies of two young trans men, and to explore what community healing looks like. Along the way, the film asks why the transmasculine community is particularly vulnerable to living briefly and dying quietly, and what we'll become as a society. It's an intimate look at a specific kind of loss and the search for a way through it, and it picked up the Youth Perspective award.
The screening is co-presented with LGBT Youth Scotland as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, which runs from 19 October to 8 November 2026. The festival programmes short films, documentaries and performances that look at mental health, creativity and identity, and this sits right in the middle of that.
