Concert by the sibling pop duo Wasia Project at SWG3 Galvanizers, part of their four-date UK tour.
Wasia Project play SWG3 Galvanizers on Wednesday 4 November, with doors opening at 7pm. It's a sibling pop duo formed in 2019 by Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, and the Glasgow date is part of a four-date tour that also takes them to Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol.
Their sound comes from a few different places. Both Gao and Hardy are classically trained, and that background sits alongside their mixed British-East Asian heritage, and the two together lead them to write songs that pull from a wide range of genres — jazz, bedroom pop and classical all find their way in. It's a broad reach for a pop duo, and the classical training means the more formal elements aren't just window dressing; they're built into the writing.
For a while it was just the two of them, but they've since added a live band to the mix, with Luca Wade on drums and Tom Pacitti on bass. That's taken the sound to a bigger place than the early independent singles, and they've been playing to crowds across the country since. The Glasgow show is one of four dates on this run, so it's a good chance to catch them in the city if you're around that week.

One practical thing to keep in mind: the night is for ages 14 and over. Under-16s have to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and one adult can look after a maximum of two under-16s. Doors open at 7pm at SWG3 Galvanizers on Wednesday 4 November.
