Austrian-Nigerian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Uche Yara brings his BODYSCANNER Tour 2026 to The Poetry Club at SWG3.
Uche Yara plays The Poetry Club on Monday 19 October, part of the UK leg of the BODYSCANNER Tour 2026. It's a single-name bill, so Yara is the only act on the night.
If you haven't come across the name before, Yara is an Austrian-Nigerian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Berlin. The music sits at a cross between alternative pop, R&B and indie rock, and the description of it as a "unique sonic universe" points to the way those styles are blended rather than kept separate. There's also a focus on the live side of things, with an energetic stage presence that carries the set.
Coming from Berlin, Yara is touring the UK with the BODYSCANNER Tour 2026, and this is the Glasgow stop. The set will be built around the material from that tour, and as a multi-instrumentalist, Yara handles more than one part of the sound on stage. It's a good chance to hear the work in a live room rather than through a speaker.
