Brighton trio Tigercub bring their new album to Oran Mor, a hard-hitting pop performance.
Tigercub play Oran Mor on Saturday 24 October, bringing their new album to the West End. They're a Brighton trio signed to Loosegroove Records, and they describe their sound as hard, abrasive pop β the kind of thing that sits somewhere between a pop song and a noise-rock record, with the pop side winning out on the melodies and the abrasive side taking over on the guitars.
They've built their name on the road rather than in the studio, spending a fair amount of time touring the US and Canada supporting Clutch and Eyehategod. If you've never seen them live, that's probably the best place to start; they're a band that makes more sense on a stage than on a record, and this show is part of the run they're doing around the new album.
It's a straightforward bill: Tigercub are the only act on the night, so you'll get a full set from them without any support to warm up the room. The show is strictly 14+, with under-16s admitted only with an adult, so keep that in mind if you're bringing anyone younger along.
