The Temperance Movement return to Glasgow for their Let It All Out Tour homecoming show at the Barrowland.
The Temperance Movement are back at The Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom on Thursday 19 November, their homecoming show on the Let It All Out Tour. It's one of ten dates on the run, and for a band with Glasgow in their foundation, the Barrowland is the natural place for it.
They've been around since 2011, formed by Glasgow-born vocalist Phil Campbell and guitarists Luke Potashnick and Paul Sayer. The early years were the Pride EP in 2012 and their self-titled debut in 2013, followed by White Bear in 2016 and A Deeper Cut in 2018. That one hit number 6 in the UK Top 10 and was described as anthemic, defiant and cathartic. More recently, Covers & Rarities and Caught On Stage: Live & Acoustic have gathered rare, previously unreleased tracks alongside their best live and acoustic recordings.
Their sound draws from 1960s and 70s rock 'n' roll, with The Faces, Led Zeppelin, Free and The Rolling Stones sitting close to the surface. That connection isn't just a matter of influence: Mick Jagger handpicked the band to support the Stones across Europe in 2014 and in the US in 2015. The Glasgow date is part of a ten-date Let It All Out Tour, so this is one of ten stops on the run.
