Scotland's leading wedding show bringing together over 200 UK wedding suppliers, with live runway shows, band showcases, and expert advice.
The Scottish Wedding Show returns to the SEC Centre on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, bringing more than 200 of the UK's leading wedding suppliers under one roof. It's billed as Scotland's leading wedding show, and the scale of it is a good starting point: venues, dresses, photographers and décor all in one place, so you can tick off several big categories in a single afternoon rather than spending weeks chasing separate appointments across the city.
Beyond the stalls, there's a fair bit to actually see and do. The RAD Runway is the main draw, with bridal, groomswear, bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride looks on display, while the Live Band Showcase lets you hear performers in the flesh and get a feel for the kind of music you want for your playlist. There's also expert advice on hand, and interactive bits like tastings and styling sessions, so you can try things out rather than just looking at brochures. The whole show is sponsored by James Porter & Son.
If you're after something a bit more relaxed, there are VIP tickets. They get you fast-track entry, all-day access to the VIP lounge, a glass of bubbly on arrival, a copy of Tie the Knot Scotland magazine, prime seating in the first two rows of the runway, and a Clarins goody bag. It's a good shout if you want to escape the main floor for a bit and watch the runway from the front.
