A tribute concert celebrating Sir Elton John with live band, costumes and piano solos at King's Theatre.
The Rocket Man comes to King's Theatre on Wednesday 10 February 2027, a tribute to Sir Elton John that charts his rise to fame as one of the biggest-selling artists of all time. It's a full-band show, so you'll get the vocal and piano performances backed by a live band and backing vocals, with flamboyant costumes and a light show to go with it.
The set runs through Elton's string of hits, and it's a broad one. You'll hear Crocodile Rock, Philadelphia Freedom, Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Are You Ready for Love, I'm Still Standing, I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues, Tiny Dancer and, of course, Rocket Man. It's a good cross-section of the songs most of us know by heart, from the early rock-and-roll energy to the later ballads.
Between the piano solos and the full band arrangements, the show works its way through that catalogue, and the costumes and lighting are a big part of the presentation. It's a tribute that leans into the spectacle as much as the music, so it's as much about the stage show as it is about the songs themselves.
