Talisk return to the Barrowland for Celtic Connections 2027, performing material from their new album 'stems from this'.
Talisk return to The Barrowland Ballroom on Saturday 30 January, part of Celtic Connections 2027. It's their first time back at the Barrowland since their sold-out show there in 2024, and the set will be built around their new album, stems from this, which came out in October 2026.
The trio is led by Mohsen Amini on concertina, Benedict Morris on violin and Charlie Galloway on guitar. They describe themselves as an explosive folk fusion act, pairing traditional instruments with a relentlessly modern approach. stems from this follows a trilogy of albums they've put out over the last decade: their debut Abyss in 2016, Beyond in 2018 and Dawn in 2022.
They've built a global following since those early records, with over 15 million streams, 10,000 albums sold and sold-out shows across five continents. That includes a Glastonbury appearance in 2025 and BBC One Hogmanay Show performances that reached more than a million viewers. The night is standing only and restricted to over-14s, with under-18s required to be accompanied by an adult over 18.
