Talia Dean brings The Chosen Women Tour to Oran Mor, featuring a talk show and gospel and R&B performances.
Talia Dean brings The Chosen Women Tour to Oran Mor on Friday 27 November, her first return to the live stage in some time. She's a gospel and R&B artist, and this isn't a straightforward gig β the evening is built around a talk-show element, with Dean sitting down with a special guest to talk about faith, music and women in the Bible. That conversation sets the scene for the music that follows.
Once the talking is done, she works her way through her back catalogue, pulling from the gospel and R&B records she's released over the years. Mixed in with the older songs will be a few played live for the first time, so it's not just a best-of set. The whole thing is billed as The Chosen Women Tour, and the title ties back to that opening conversation about women in the Bible.
If you're not already familiar, Dean works across gospel and R&B, and this is her return to performing live. The talk-show part is the first half of the night, with the music taking over from there. It's a bit of a hybrid evening β part conversation, part concert β so you'll get both the stories and the songs in one go.
