English alternative rock band Swervedriver perform live at Òran Mór as part of their 'Raise at 35' tour.
Swervedriver play Òran Mór on Monday 2 November, part of their Raise at 35 tour. It's a Glasgow date on a run that takes them across the UK, and they're the only name on the bill for the night.
If you're not familiar with them, they're an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 around core members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Between 1989 and 1998 they released four studio albums, alongside a fair few EPs and singles. It was a run marked by a constant shift in the line-up, with band members, managers and record labels coming and going over those first nine years. The Raise at 35 tour marks thirty-five years since they first got going, so the Glasgow show sits within that anniversary context.
They've been back on the road for a while now, and this date is one of the stops on the tour. The set will be their own, with the band as the sole feature of the evening. It's a Monday night, so it's one of those mid-week gigs that works if you're around the West End on a school night rather than a weekend crowd.
