Scotland's premier Status Quo tribute band performs live at The Ferry.
Status No play The Ferry on Saturday 31 October, their take on the music of Status Quo. They describe themselves as Scotland's premier Status Quo tribute band, and the set is built around the songs that defined the original band's career.
If you're not entirely sure where Status Quo fit, they're the band that practically defined British boogie music, with a sound that sat right between hard rock and the pop charts. They left a proper mark on both, with more than 60 hit singles and 30 hit albums to their name. A few of the ones that usually come to mind are 'Whatever You Want', 'In The Army Now' and 'Rockin' All Over the World'βthe kind of songs that most people recognise even if they've never followed the band closely.
Status No works from that same songbook, and they're billed as Scotland's premier tribute to them. The whole night is dedicated to that particular brand of boogie, so you'll be hearing the songs that made Status Quo a household name. It's a straightforward premise: a night of Status Quo songs played by a band that's built its act around them.
