Internationally acclaimed Neil Young tribute band Rust for Glory headline Oran Mor, recreating the sound and spirit of Young's career.
Rust for Glory bring their Neil Young tribute to Òran Mór on Saturday 27 February, with the show starting at 7pm. They're a Glasgow-based band that's been playing the UK circuit since 2011, and this is their take on one of the most varied catalogues in rock.
They describe themselves as the UK's 'rustiest' Neil Young tribute, and the set reflects the different directions Young has taken over five decades. There's the electric side of things — the loud, distorted sound of Crazy Horse — and the country-rock of Harvest. They also pull from the Ditch trilogy, and they mix the well-known songs with the more obscure ones, so it's not just a run through the hits. It's a set that covers both his electric and acoustic work, and it's built around the sound, feel and spirit of the different bands and solo projects he's worked with over the years.
