Rowan Hackett brings her stand-up show Brewed back to Glasgow International Comedy Festival after a sold-out WIP performance.
Rowan Hackett brings her show Brewed to Blackfriars Of Bell Street on Thursday 18 March, part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. It's a return to the city for her — she played a sold-out work-in-progress here last year, and the full show had its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Brewed is a stand-up show that looks at one woman's complicated relationship with football, family and forgiveness, all seen through the bottom of a pint glass. It traces her journey from the carefree vodka-and-lemonade years through to parenthood, and the football runs right through it. The reviews have been kind, with critics calling it a "lovely, touching, heartfelt show, funny without forcing the laughs."
It's one of the many acts in the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, which runs from 10 to 28 March across the city. If you're already planning a few nights out during the festival, this is a good one to slot in.
