Indie rock quintet Reverend & The Makers perform live at the SWG3 TV Studio in Glasgow, following their 2026 album 'Is This How Happiness Feels?'.
Reverend & The Makers play the SWG3 TV Studio on Friday 13 November, with doors opening at 7pm. It's a headline show for the Sheffield indie rock quintet, fronted by Jon McClure.
They've been around since 2005, and the early days are easy to place: they burst onto the scene in 2007 with The State of Things, a Top 5 album that gave them the hit single 'Heavyweight Champion of the World'. Since then, they've kept a run of seven consecutive Top 20 albums going, which is a fair stretch of consistency for any indie band. They built their following at the same time Arctic Monkeys were making their breakthrough, and when major labels urged them to make music in the Monkeys' vein, they turned those offers down and chose to do things their own way.
Nearly two decades on, they're still going. There are eight studio albums behind them, and they've toured worldwide, including a stint supporting Oasis on their final ever tour. Their sound has shifted over the years, moving from synth-heavy indie towards more sophisticated, melodic arrangements. This latest show comes on the back of their 2026 album Is This How Happiness Feels?, which follows 2023's Heatwave In The Cold North.
