A screening of intimate dramas, documentaries and animations from the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival exploring memory, addiction, parenthood and trauma.
Reflections From Home is showing at The Social Hub on Sunday 25 October, from 7.50pm to 10pm. It's a programme of dramas, documentaries and animations, all coming from the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF).
This particular screening is part of the festival's Focus on Film strand, which pulls together Scottish and UK perspectives. The films it brings together—intimate dramas, documentaries and animations—look at memory, addiction, parenthood and trauma, and reflect on what holds us back and what might help us move forward. It's a curated selection rather than a single feature, so you'll see a few different films in one sitting.
The festival itself is led by the Mental Health Foundation and marks its 20th year in 2026, with 'Reflections' as the theme. It runs from 19 October to 8 November across Scotland, with more than 180 events including film, theatre, music, visual arts, writing, comedy and community events. SMHAF is supported by the Baring Foundation and Creative Scotland.
