Quiz Hard runs the Sloans Pub Quiz every Thursday night at Sloans Bar & Restaurant, and it's a proper team affair. It's not a solo effort — you'll want to get a group together for this one, as it's played in teams with prizes up for grabs. If you've got a few mates who fancy a mid-week night out, this is a straightforward way to spend a Thursday evening in the city centre.

Sloans is right in the heart of things, at 62 Argyll Arcade, Glasgow City Centre G2 8BG. It's a central spot, so it's easy enough to get to from wherever you're coming from. The quiz runs from 7pm to 9pm, which is a handy window — you're in and out in two hours, and you're home well before the midnight oil starts burning, with plenty of your evening still left.

One of the best things about it is that it's not a one-off. It's a weekly fixture, so if you miss a week or your team can't quite get their act together on a particular night, there's always the next Thursday to make up for it. The run goes well into the end of the year: it's on this Thursday 15 October, and then again on 22 and 29 October. After that, it carries through November on the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, and then into December on the 3rd, 10th and 17th. That's ten Thursdays in a row, so you can turn it into a regular thing if you fancy.
