Irish singer-songwriter Oscar Blue brings his folk-rooted songwriting and storytelling to McChuills, presenting his debut album 'Birds in Winter'.
Oscar Blue plays McChuills Music Bar & Venue on Sunday 8 November, from 19:30 to 22:30. He's an Irish singer-songwriter and storyteller from County Clare, and the show is presented by DF Concerts.
His music sits at a cross between folk-rooted songwriting and cinematic indie textures. By day he works in social care, and he's open about where his songs come from: the mundane, the ordinary moments and small flashes of human connection that often say the most. From there, the writing moves into resilience, loss, gratitude, loneliness and the quiet strength it takes to keep going. It's the kind of songwriting that looks at the small things and finds something larger in them.
He's been building towards this for a few years. His debut EP, Backyard Mafia, came out in 2022, and since then he's passed 20 million streams and supported Kodaline, Kingfishr and Gavin James. This past April he released his first full album, Birds in Winter, so this is a good chance to hear it live.
