American alt-country six-piece Ole 60 headline SWG3 TV Studio in Glasgow, presented by C2C.
Ole 60 play SWG3 TV Studio on Wednesday 11 November, with doors opening at 7pm. They're a six-piece alt-country band from Hawesville, Kentucky, and this is their Glasgow stop on the tour. The show is presented by C2C.
Their story is a bit of a backyard one: they formed in 2023 inside a shed and spent their early days rehearsing in the arcade section of a local pizza shop. Fronted by primary songwriter Jacob Ty Young, they sit at the crosshairs of indie rock, grunge and country, and their list of influences runs from the Smashing Pumpkins and Metallica to John Prine. That mix explains the sound — country at its core, but with a heavier, louder edge than you'll find on a standard Nashville record.
They shot to notoriety in 2024 when 'smoke & a light' topped Spotify's U.S. Viral Top 50 and their debut EP, Three Twenty Four, hit number one on the Apple Music Country Albums chart. Since then, they've played the Grand Ole Opry and supported Zach Bryan in stadiums. Late last year they released their debut album, Smokestack Town, which is what they're touring now.
