American indie rockers OK Go headline the SWG3 Galvanizers space.
OK Go play SWG3 Galvanizers on Thursday 12 November, their only Glasgow date of the autumn. The American indie rockers have spent as much of their career in front of a camera as on a stage, and their work has always sat somewhere between a band and an art project. They've built a following as much for their videos as for their songs, and that visual side has often pushed them into territory most bands never touch.
Over the years, that's meant award-winning music videos and op-eds in the New York Times, alongside collaborations with pioneering dance companies and tech giants. They've also gone for the truly strange: one experiment involved encoding their music on actual strands of DNA. It's a bit of a strange way to build a career, but it's exactly what they've been doing since the start.
