Nia Archives

Nia Archives plays the Barrowland Ballroom on Sunday 22 November, bringing her world tour to Glasgow. She's touring Emotional Junglist, her second album, which topped the Official Dance Chart.

Archives is a producer, DJ and singer born in Bradford and raised in Leeds, and she's become one of the leading voices in the UK jungle revival. Her sound blends classic amen breaks with songwriting, dancehall and R&B. She first made her mark with EPs like Forbidden Feelingz before releasing her Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Silence Is Loud.

Since then, her career has moved quickly: she's opened for Beyoncé on the Renaissance tour, won a MOBO, and earned a BRITs Rising Star nomination. Emotional Junglist is the record this tour is built around, and it's the one that took the top spot on the Official Dance Chart. Trickpony supports her on the night.

Doors open at 19:00 at the Barrowland Ballroom, 244 Gallowgate, Glasgow City Centre G4 0TT. Tickets are £60 for general admission standing. The night is for ages 14 and over, and under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
