An intimate educational showcase where students and staff from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland present their current musical studies in the conservatoire's studios.
Mondays at One is back at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland this autumn, with a run of eight sessions starting on 5 October. It's an intimate series of educational showcases held inside the Conservatoire's own studios, where students and staff perform the musical studies they're working on. Rather than a mixed bill, each session is led by a different instrumental department, drawing on that department's repertoire and putting the Conservatoire's training on display.
The sessions run every Monday from 13:00 to 14:00, so they're a lunchtime thing rather than an evening one. The dates are 5, 12, 19 and 26 October, and 9, 16, 23 and 30 November 2026. Because each one focuses on a different department, you get a different sound every week, and the whole series lets you hear across the Conservatoire's various disciplines over the course of two months.
It's part of the RCS 'What's On' programme, and it runs alongside a companion strand called 'Fridays at One', which books international guest artists, chamber ensembles, soloists and orchestras. If you're planning to stick with it for the whole run, you can subscribe to guarantee the same seat for all the Monday or Friday sessions and save 20% with a smART Pass.
