A wild country-themed ceilidh party with line dancing, live country music and a mechanical bull ride at Maggies Rock n Rodeo.
Maggies Rock n Rodeo is running its Cowboy Ceilidh on Friday and Saturday nights in Glasgow city centre, a country-themed ceilidh that takes over The Hoedown. It's billed as the venue's wildest country party this side of Texas, and it's a regular fixture on the calendar rather than a one-off: it runs every Friday from 6pm and every Saturday from 3:15pm, with dates listed through October, November and December.
The night is built around a line dancing lesson led by Maggie herself, followed by live country music from the house band, hosted by resident CowQueen Garry King. It's described as a welcoming party for everyone, from line dancing newbies to seasoned pros, and ticket holders get a free bull ride included. The venue itself is a Nashville dive bar theme inspired by shows like Yellowstone, and it keeps the live music and late openings it's known for, staying open until 3am every night with live sport across all the big screens. The menu is all-American, the cocktails are speciality, and the mechanical bull is open seven days a week.

Beyond the ceilidh, the bar runs 'One Night In Tennessee', a country covers open-mic night inspired by Bourbon Street. If you're looking for a night of country music and line dancing in the city, the Cowboy Ceilidh is the main event here. It runs every Friday from 6pm and every Saturday from 3:15pm at Maggies Rock n Rodeo, 60 Trongate, Glasgow City Centre G1 5EP, with tickets ranging from £8 to £25.
