Britpop band Kula Shaker, led by Crispian Mills, play SWG3 Galvanizers in Glasgow on their 'K-Reinkarnate' tour.
Kula Shaker play SWG3 Galvanizers on Tuesday 16 March 2027, as part of their K-Reinkarnate tour. The Glasgow date marks the 30th anniversary of their debut album, K, which they're currently re-recording and re-releasing under the same title.
It's a long way back to where it started. K was a multi-platinum success that landed them hits like 'Tattva' and 'Hush', and the band's live shows have long been described as less like gigs than 'happenings' — communal gatherings of like-minded souls. The tour is built around that record, so the set will lean on the material that first put them on the map.
There's a bit of a story to the name, too. Kula Shaker took it from a 10th-century south-Indian poet and king, and they carried that royal flag of spiritually inspired sonics to the masses during the heady days of Britpop. The K-Reinkarnate tour brings that sound back to the stage, with the anniversary album serving as the starting point.
