Irish singer-songwriter Jamie McIntyre performs live at Oran Mor in Glasgow.
Jamie McIntyre plays Òran Mór on Sunday 18 October, his first Glasgow headline show of the year. He's a Galway songwriter who started out busking on Shop Street during his college years and has since played stages across Ireland and the UK. He's been writing since he was 15, and it was that early start that caught the attention of Gavin James, who picked him to support him in Paris as part of the Three City Stages initiative.
Most people will recognise him from 'Over Galway Town', the viral hit he released in the summer of 2024. It racked up more than 50 million views on TikTok and over 7.5 million streams on Spotify, sitting alongside some of the world's biggest artists in the viral charts. Since then he's worked with Imelda May and played Electric Picnic, and his EPs Chapter 23 and The For Folks Sake EP produced tracks like 'West is Home', 'Grá' and 'Melbourne'.
2026 has seen him continue as a headline artist, with a sold-out ten-date Irish tour and UK headline shows at The Camden in London and King Tuts here in Glasgow. This is one of those dates. He'll be playing the full set himself, so you'll hear the songs from the EPs alongside the one that took off on TikTok.
