A ceremony celebrating award-winning cinema from Scotland and the rest of the world, hosted by Raisah Ahmed as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
The International Film Awards are coming to The Social Hub on Friday 23 October, from 7pm to 9pm. It's a free night, and it's part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, which is celebrating its 20th year. This year's theme is Reflections, and the whole thing is a bit of a beast: more than 180 events across Scotland, covering film, theatre, music, visual arts, writing, comedy and community initiatives.
The ceremony itself celebrates award-winning cinema from Scotland and the rest of the world. The filmmakers they're highlighting are described as making bold, imaginative and deeply personal work, and they'll be there in the room as well as on screen. Raisah Ahmed is hosting the night, and once the awards are done, there's a reception with a drink and a slice of pizza to keep you going.

If you're not already familiar, the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival is a nationwide thing, and this is one of the many events it's running across the country this autumn. The International Film Awards sits within that, so it's as much about the wider festival as it is about the cinema on the night. The ceremony runs from 7pm to 9pm at The Social Hub, 15 Candleriggs Square, Glasgow G1 1TQ, and it's free to attend.
