French multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer Igorrr headlines SWG3 Galvanizers, with support from Shining and Otto Von Schirach.
Igorrr plays SWG3 Galvanizers on Wednesday 11 November, with support from Shining and Otto Von Schirach. The night is presented by Triple G.
Igorrr is the stage name of French multi-instrumentalist and producer Gautier Serre, who started the project in 2006 as a solo venture before it grew into a full live band. The sound is deliberately collisionist, splicing together death metal, breakcore, classical baroque instrumentation, opera and electronic beats into something that defies easy categorisation. It's the kind of music that doesn't sit still, jumping between heavy riffs and orchestral arrangements in the space of a single track.
Following the critical success of 2020's Spirituality and Distortion, the project released its fifth studio album, Amen, via Metal Blade Records. The current live line-up puts German-Japanese opera vocalist Gerda Iguchi centre-stage, so the opera side of the sound is a good place to start if you're wondering what to expect on the night. With Shining and Otto Von Schirach on support, there's plenty to get through before the main set.
