Night-time ghost tour exploring Provan Hall, one of Glasgow's oldest and most haunted houses, with expert guides from History and Horror Tours.
Provan Hall is running its ghost tours again, and there's one tomorrow, Thursday 15 October, from 20:00 to 22:00. It's one of Glasgow's oldest houses, dating back more than 500 years, and by day it's a tranquil historic home. By night, though, it's said to be haunted by spirits that wander its darkened halls and rooms. Since it reopened to the public after conservation and restoration, several ghost-hunting groups have hailed it as one of the most active paranormal sites in Scotland.
The tours are led by History and Horror Tours, and they'll take you through the house's rooms, layering ghost stories from the past with accounts of recent encounters. It's not just a one-off, either: the tours run on 23 April, 3, 10, 17 and 24 September, and 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 October, all from 20:00 to 22:00, with doors open from 19:40. The walk isn't for the faint-hearted, and the minimum age is 12, with under-18s needing to be accompanied by an adult.

Provan Hall does more than just these tours, too. It welcomes private paranormal investigations and stages Parafest, whose first edition in 2026 featured guest speakers Evelyn Hollow, Eeerie Edinburgh and Paranormal Scotland Ltd. If you're into the paranormal side of things, that's a good place to start. Tickets for the tours are £22 per person, and you'll find the house at 85 Auchinlea Road, Glasgow G34 9PQ.
