Bristol-based punk and alt-rock band Grandmas House deliver a riff-heavy, grunge-influenced sound at Nice N Sleazy.
Grandmas House play Nice N Sleazy on Tuesday 24 November, with the show presented by PCL. They're a Bristol-based punk and alt-rock band, and this is their only act on the bill.
Their sound pulls from grunge, post-punk and noise rock, and they describe it as something urgent and uncompromising. It's built on distorted guitars, driving rhythms and a dark, brooding atmosphere, with the raw aggression balanced by a sharp sense of control. Since emerging from the UK underground, they've built a reputation for intense, high-impact live shows — loud, visceral and emotionally charged — with songs that explore anger, identity, frustration and release.
They draw from the lineage of '90s grunge and punk while sitting firmly in the modern DIY landscape, fusing sludgy textures with tight songwriting to create tracks that feel both chaotic and purposeful. It's a riff-heavy sound, and that's what they'll be bringing to the Glasgow stage.
