Second leg of the 1872 Cup rugby union derby between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh at Hampden Park.
Glasgow Warriors take on Edinburgh at Hampden Park on Saturday 24 April, kick-off at 17:45. It's the second leg of the 1872 Cup, the season-long Scottish rivalry that splits the honours of the United Rugby Championship's domestic clash: the first leg is played at Murrayfield and the second here in Glasgow. Hampden has hosted the fixture for a third successive year, so it's become the regular home for the Glasgow side of the tie.
The Warriors go into this one having retained the trophy in 2025-26, after finishing first in the URC regular season with 13 wins and 5 losses. Head coach Franco Smith led them to the 2024 URC championship, and Scotland international Kyle Steyn is the club captain. It's a classic derby, with Scotland's top stars going head-to-head in front of a huge crowd at the national stadium, bragging rights and silverware on the line.

If you're heading along, it's a Saturday afternoon kick-off, so you'll have the rest of the evening to soak it in. The match is part of the 1872 Cup, which runs across the season and pits the two Scottish URC sides against each other twice — once in Edinburgh and once in Glasgow — with the winner taking the trophy. This is the Glasgow leg, so it's the Warriors' turn to host.
