Lunchtime concert series featuring international guest artists, chamber ensembles and orchestras at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Fridays at One is back at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on 23 October, the lunchtime concert series that runs every Friday through the autumn. It's part of the wider 'on One' programme, and the line-up changes each week, so you can drop in for a single session or follow the whole run. The bill ranges from international guest artists and chamber ensembles to soloists, orchestras, music staff and RCS students, with a good deal of it performed by the Conservatoire's own students.
The run kicks off on 23 October with Laura MacDonald featuring the Jazz Faculty. The following Friday, 30 October, it's Allan Neave & Friends. On 13 November, Jenn Butterworth performs Her by Design, and on 20 November, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Winds play side-by-side with students. The run continues on 27 November with Scottish Opera Emerging Artists, and closes on 4 December with Connaught Brass.
If you're planning to stick around for more than one, there's a smART Pass that saves you 20% and lets you keep the same seat for all the Friday or Monday on One concerts. The RCS itself is a world-leading institution of music, drama, dance, production and film in Glasgow city centre, and it runs expert training alongside short courses, summer schools and public performances.
