Fat White Family on tour in support of an expanded 10th anniversary edition of Songs For Our Mothers.
Fat White Family play The Classic Grand on Saturday 24 October, as part of their tour supporting an expanded 10th anniversary edition of Songs For Our Mothers.
They formed in Peckham, South London, back in 2011 and built a reputation as one of the UK's most uncompromising and anarchic post-punk outfits, fronted by Lias Saoudi. They first made waves with their raw, satirical 2013 debut album Champagne Holocaust, and their sound has since moved from gritty garage rock into a richer blend of synth-pop, disco and experimental soundscapes. Their latest studio album, Forgiveness Is Yours (2024), continues that tradition of sharp, dark lyricism paired with sophisticated electronic arrangements.
The Glasgow date is part of the tour for the 10th anniversary edition of Songs For Our Mothers, so it's a night that looks back as much as it looks forward. Between the early garage-rock days and the more electronic direction of their recent work, there's a fair bit of ground to cover.
